Portrait of Tiffany

Portrait of Tiffany, leaded stained glass with copper overlay, 34” x 44”, 1979

In 1979, Zeitz was commissioned by Lord, Sullivan, Yoder advertising agency for the Nevamar corporation to produce a portrait of Louis Comfort Tiffany for their promotional calendar. The project won an award in Communication Arts Magazine. The portrait used leaded stained glass techniques with a copper foil overlay for the trees. The leading used in the face area is the thinnest possible, requiring very accurate cutting of the glass. Zeitz showed this work at Glassmasters Guild in New York in 1980. Since then Tiffany has been in Zeitz’s studio on Martha’s Vineyard. He is looking for a Tiffany glass collection to purchase the window.
